We were tasked with creating a title sequence for any book of our choice and I had to go with the first book I ever fell in love with, Twilight. I stuck to the traditional blue hue to match the movie style and a font that favored the book aspect. I chose video clips that hint to different scenes throughout the book, heavily taking inspiration from the movie itself.
I chose the song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" by Iron & Wine for the audio. This song holds a special place in the hearts of all fans of Twilight because because it perfectly encapsulates the tender, bittersweet, and melancholic tone of Bella and Edward’s relationship. It plays during the prom scene at the end of the first movie, a pivotal moment that balances their romance and the underlying tension of their impossible love. I thought it would be the perfect choice for a title sequence.
